NS-398 (N-[2-cyclohexyloxy-4-nitrophenyl] methanesulfonamide) is an non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic and antipyretic effects. NS-398 can selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) with IC50 of 150 nM. The IC50 values for human recombinant COX-1 and COX-2 are 75μM and 1.77 μM, respectively.
